H. E. Strong (1929-1996) In the year before his death, my father began writing his memoires. Unfortunately he was only able to complete the first few pages, but what he left us provides a fascinating, and at times chilling tale of life before, and during, the Nazi occupation of Austria. I have added illustrations from our recent visit to Vienna.
